Pilgrimage to the Holy Land

special needs picturesIn His Steps is making the living witness of Jesus more evident in the Holy Land by developing meaningful relations between American churches, Middle East indigenous churches, and Interfaith partners in peacemaking pilgrimages to the Holy Land. A primary goal is to connect the American Christian community through tours of awareness in the Middle East.

ihs offers a venue through which to respond to the needs of daily life of oppressed people in Palestine and Israel. Projects are developed within the local communities through which individuals and faith communities can provide humanitarian assistance as well as indigenous strengthening of communities, helping them to heal and thrive in peace.

The site is new with content being added daily. However, as we continue to grow and setup the site you can begin to learn about our upcoming trips, visit the photo gallery to enjoy the beauty that is the Holy Land, donate to our humanitarian projects/ministry, read the blogs which are thought-provoking diaries by those who have been on one of our pilgrimages, visit with some of our friends and so much more.

Allow us to introduce you to the upcoming opportunities to follow in the steps of Jesus both literally and figuratively...

Disabilities Initiative - Call for International Volunteers:

At the invitation of the Palestinian Office of the President and Ministries of Health, Education, and Social Affairs there is an urgent need for teachers, rehabilitation staff and other educational specialists to join an American team from June 30 – July 20 to serve in Bethlehem and Hebron districts.  We will be hosting summer camps for children in rural villages and refugee camps, working with universities, school administrators, and rehabilitation societies to provide training in all areas of disability.

You will be in a safe environment.  Please let us know as soon as possible if you are able to participate and serve by sending us an email -- you will be provided with detailed information.
